Wilson Chandler's strong performance of 26 points and eight rebounds guided the New York Knicks to a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers 97-94 in the Day 4 opener of the 2008 NBA Summer League Presented by EA SPORTS.

Chandler was helped out by fellow starters Anthony Roberson's 22 points, Mardy Collins' 17, and Danilo Gallinari's 14.

"At the beginning of the game, I was just trying to figure it out," Gallinari said. "Then I started to understand a little bit better, and in the second half things got good."

After exchanging baskets for most of the opening quarter, the inside game of Cleveland took over along with a Will Conroy buzzer-beating floater in the lane that gave them a seven-point lead.

The trio of Chandler, Collins and Roberson combined for 21 of the Knicks' 25 second-quarter points, which brought New York back after being down by as many as nine to take a two-point lead at halftime.

Gallinari got his rhythm going by the end of the third period, as he scored his first eight points of the game in the final 2:20 of the quarter.

This see-saw game, which saw 16 lead changes and 15 ties, had an exciting finish as Cavs guard Clay Tucker nailed a 3-pointer with 7.5 seconds left to bring Cleveland within one, 95-94. However, two free throws by Chandler iced the game for New York.

The disappointed Cavaliers, who scored 56 points in the paint, were led by their rookie center J.J. Hickson's 26 points and nine rebounds.

Notes: Knicks star point guard Stephon Marbury signed autographs for kids and sat on the bench and supported his young teammates. New York will meet up with San Antonio in the first game while Cleveland plays in the final game against Houston.
