This Friday, January 6, BTV will feature an exciting double header.

First off will be the LA Lakers visiting the Portland Trail Blazers live at 11:30 am. The Lakers have had their struggles early in the season. They traded away Lamar Odom to the Dallas Mavericks and were without starting center Andrew Bynum for the first four games of the season. But they have slowly gotten their groove and Bynum has been outstanding to say the least.

Head coach Mike Brown is putting a premium on defense and although he has yet to find the perfect rotation, he is maximizing the use for guys like Matt Barnes, Metta World Peace, and new recruit Josh McRoberts. Kobe Bryant is doing what he can to put points on the board but his injured wrist is clearly hampering him.

The Portland Trail Blazers also lost an integral part of their team before the season started as Brandon Roy, who was viewed by many as the player who will save the franchise, retired from the sport because of his bad knees.

Even though they lost a vital cog in their system, the Blazers are still one of the picks to make it to the playoffs in the Western Conference due largely to the exploits of LaMarcus Aldridge.

At 2 pm, we will air the game between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Sacramento Kings featuring the disgruntled DeMarcus Cousins. The Bucks and the Kings are in similar positions as of the moment as both teams are around the .500 mark. The Bucks are ninth in the East while the Kings hold the eighth spot out West.
