With the series all tied up at two wins apiece, the third conference of the PBA’s 36th season boils down to a best-of-three series.

Word on the street is that the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters will sweep their way to a grandslam. “The players of Petron are too old,” some said. “They can’t win without J-Wash and Al-Hussaini,” said the others. “Of course Talk ‘N Text will win, they basically chose to battle Petron in the Finals,” said some Ginebra fans.

Danny Ildefonso proved in the first game that age is just a number. He scored four point in the dying seconds of that game including a game-winning jumper from the corner to put his team on top. “It was God who took that shot,” the veteran said.

The second game was testy. Both teams were putting on something extra on all their fouls which almost resulted in a brawl. The favored team took the second game as if to say that the game 1 loss was nothing but a fluke.

In the third game, the Talk ‘N Text team everyone was looking for showed up. They walloped the hapless Boosters into submission. But the action did not stop when the buzzer sounded. The coaches of both teams had a heated exchange which allegedly included one of them challenging the other to a fistfight.

After game 3, PBA fans were again back to thinking that the Tropang Texters will simply run through this Petron team. But to everyone’s surprise, the Boosters fought back and dominated a lethargic Talk ‘N Text team.

Now that the series is down to a best of three it is safe to say that anything can happen. Talk ‘N text has proven that it has the capability to dominate especially when they get their running game going. The Boosters on the other hand have showed us they are not going without a fight. The pieces have fallen into place. All that’s left to do is enjoy the remaining games of the PBA 36th Season.
